Jared Aulin is a professional hockey player who is currently a free agent. On June 1,
2020, Aulin signed a three-year entry level deal with the Kings. He made his professional
debut in the 2002-2003 season with the Kings affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs. On
March 9, 2004, Aulin was traded to the Washington Capitals. Unfortunately, Aulin has
been plagued with shoulder injuries that have limited his playing.
While playing in a summer league with the TH Pirate in Calgary, Aulin suffered a
two-handed slash to the neck in a game during a season in which he was leading the
league in scoring. After recovering from injuries, Aulin began playing for the Syracuse
Crunch, the AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was invited to the Edmonton
Oilers training camp prior this the 2010-11 season, but was later released during the
preseason.
