A four-time, short track speed skating U.S. Olympian, Andy Gabel earned a silver medal as a member of
the 5000 meter Short Track relay team at the 1994 Lillehammer Games. Andy was a member of  the
National Short Track Team from 1979 to 1998, the longest in U.S. Speed Skating history for either Long or
Short Track, and was elected to the speed skating hall of fame in 2003.

In 1992, Gabel was elected to the U.S. Speed Skating Board of Directors as an athlete representative,
becoming Vice President in 1999 and President in 2002 in addition to serving as the Director of Figure
Skating and Short Track speed skating for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Andy has an extensive background in financial asset management working for firms Strong Capital
Management and Barclay Global Investors. Andy was also Vice President of Sales at The Bonham Group,
a sports marketing firm headquartered in Denver.

Andy is the lead TV commentator for Short Track Speed skating events recently serving as the color
commentator for NBC Sports at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and is presently the Chairman of the ISU
Short Track Technical Committee, having served as a member of the ISU Short Track World Cup
Management Commission from 1998 to 2002.
